AB LAB Barely There SPF50+ Facial Sun Cream Review (with pictures)

I was so excited to try this! And it makes so much sense for Adore Beauty to make skincare, I hope they keep coming out with products.

This layers better with other creams, rather than a gel moisturiser to avoid pilling. I really liked the glimmer through it from the mica rather than the greasy SPF “glow” some other products have- way nicer for my skin type! Looked great on no makeup days, just a bit of added brightening, and worked lovely under makeup.

RPR: $39.95/75ml

AB LAB Barely There SPF50+ Facial Sun Cream offers a luxe experience with its whipped texture and light cream formula.

Applying the formula, it’s elegant and it effortlessly blends into the skin. It leaves a weightless finish.

Perfect for everyday use, this sunscreen sits wonderfully under makeup. It does have a subtle glimmer, which might be a deal breaker for some! I find there’s no hint of greasiness.

Makeup lovers will love at how seamlessly this sunscreen pairs with their cream products- It’s definitely been tested by makeup wearers.

Enriched with Vitamin E, hyaluronic acid, and PHAs, it also nourishes it throughout the day.

One of the standout features of this sunscreen is its easy reapplication. Despite its lightweight nature, it reapplies like a dream, ensuring your skin stays protected without any fuss.

However, it may require a bit of experimentation when layered with gel products due to some pilling issues, but this is a minor inconvenience easily overcome with a bit of practice (unless, of course, majority of your products are gel!)

It's worth noting that, like other chemical SPFs, this sunscreen can cause eye irritation. To avoid this, be sure to keep it away from your eyes as directed.

I think people that loved the OG MECCA Cosmetica SPF will find a new love in the AB LAB SPF.

It ticks a lot of boxes. My mum found more enjoyment and has now used up the entire tube! Which to me suggests normal to dry skin types and aged skin might enjoy this the most.

Happy SPF hunting!
