Affordable Rhode Pocket Blush Shade Dupes From Mecca Max

Affordable Rhode Pocket Blush Shade Dupes From Mecca Max

For anyone excited about Rhode becoming easier to shop via Mecca and direct from rhode.com from February 12, 2026, you’ll already know that some shades are almost guaranteed to sell out.

Toasted Teddy, Freckle, Tan Line, and Date Cake are among the brand’s most in-demand Pocket Blush shades, loved for their soft warmth and effortless creamy blend.

After testing Mecca Max’s recent shade extension of their Off Duty Blush Sticks, I’m convinced that I’ve found a Rhode toasted teddy shade dupe, along with comparable options for Freckle, Tan Line, and Date Cake – some that have been around before Rhode launched.

Let’s dive into some which are convincing shade dupes for the soon to launch viral celeb beauty brand.

Rhode Pocket Blush Toasted Teddy Shade Dupe: Mecca Max Off Duty Blush Stick in Mellow

Rhode Toasted Teddy is described as a bronze terracotta – warm with a depth.

Mecca Max Mellow is described as a burnt caramel brown, and sits in the same sun-warmed family.

On skin, Mellow delivers a similar bronzed flush that reads soft rather than muddy or orange, making it the closest match if you’re specifically searching for a Rhode toasted teddy shade dupe.

I’m most impressed with this match from the list, and after applying knew I had to share about it.

Rhode Pocket Blush Tan Line Shade Dupe: Mecca Max Off Duty Blush Stick in Sun Swept

Rhode Tan Line is described as a pinky tan – muted, and perfect for an everyday flush, meant to mimic a post-sun flush.

Mecca Max Sun Swept is described as a dusty rose and lands ever so slightly rosier , but still delivers that softly sun-kissed effect.

After being blended in the shade match is near identical. Being part of Mecca Max’s new shade range extension, my hunch is that might be more strategy than coincidence.

Remember, shade dupes are about matching the finished application, not the shade in the tube or bottle.

Rhode Pocket Blush Freckle Shade Dupe: Mecca Max Off Duty Blush Stick in Cosy

Rhode Freckle is known for its neutral peach tone and is a popular pick amongst pink undertones.

Mecca Max Cosy is described as a warm terracotta, which although sounds very different, are both in the orange family and wear similar.

Cosy sits a touch deeper and warmer but offers the same natural warmth on the cheeks.

If Freckle is always sold out, Cosy is a lovely substitute, IMO.

Rhode Pocket Blush Date Cake Shade Dupe: Mecca Max Off Duty Blush Stick in Moody

Rhode Date Cake is a warm berry red with depth and richness.

Mecca Max Moody, described as a warm plum, delivers a similar flush on the skin.

Moody has slightly less vibrancy, leaning muted, which makes the shade more universally flattering.

Worth including as a shade dupe as matching a shade is about how it looks on the skin, rather than in a tube.

Fun fact? Moody is one of the OG shades, around before Rhode launched. If you have an olive undertone like myself, you’ll love this one.

A Review of Rhode’s Pocket Blush Formula

In the fourteenth edition of Morgan’s Skin Journal, Morgan shared her review of the rhode pocket blushes.

“The formula itself is fragrance free, as well as containing peptides and tamanu oil to really glide onto the cheek. It melts into the skin for a natural glow finish and solid pop of pigmented colour.

Texture wise, this is all I wanted it to be. The swatches and try ons I’ve been seeing online look so juicy and perfect for that fresh cheek look.

Freckle is a neutral peach shade that works as a lovely fresh flush, warming up the cheeks.”

“You can use them on the cheeks as well as the lips for a monochromatic look and of course Rhode thought of that, so there’s coordinating lip tints for that ultra glossy lip.

They are actually quite small in size which means they’re very cute but also still good value at $4.50 USD/gram or $6.75 AUD/gram. For reference, this is less per gram than a typical Nudestix, Makeup by Mario or Milk Makeup blush.

Overall, very positive experience and I just know I will be reaching for these again and again.

The shade Toasted Teddy has been getting quite a bit of love online in the part week and I am very tempted to pick it up…”

My Review of Mecca Max’s Off Duty Blush Sticks

These are blushes I can recommend without hesitation. The formula has a satin, second-skin finish that blends easily with a brush, fingers, or a sponge.

They’re buildable, with enough pigment to show up without becoming overwhelming or hard to control. Because the formula is hydrating, it doesn’t emphasise texture, making it especially flattering on bare or lightly-made-up skin.

Some shades contain a subtle shimmer, but nothing glittery or sparkly – just enough to add dimension. Beyond the cheeks, they layer beautifully over the eyelids and can even be tapped onto the lips for a cohesive, monochromatic look.

At $22, shades I’ve had from years back still have plenty of product left even with regular use. It’s a huge tick from me.

What Shades Are You Trying?

If you love the idea of Rhode’s Pocket Blush shades but want a more accessible price point, the Mecca Max Off Duty Blush Sticks are a solid alternative.

Much of the range sit very close to rhode pocket blush shade dupes (especially their newer launches), and others sit close enough in tone and finish to deliver the same sun-warmed, skin-first effect that made the shades so popular in the first place.

Let me know what you think of the colour matches, and if you’re shopping anything from rhode.
