At just 25, Sydney-based founder Yuliya Lozovyk is redefining what it means to wear scent. Her brand, By Yuliya Fragrances, was born from a simple idea — that everyday fragrance can be both luxurious and approachable.
Being a fragrance lover, Yuliya saw an opportunity to create something unique. Reflecting on her pursuit, she mentions on her website;
“The jump between a high-end luxury perfume and inexpensive mists left a gap in the market for premium and uniquely crafted fragrances.”
Best known for its elevated body mists and chic, refillable fragrance balms we’ve featured in our recent gift round up, By Yuliya sits at the sweet spot between high-end perfume and the nostalgic spritzes we grew up with, with serious wear power.
We’ve spoken to Yuliya about her quickly growing brand, and what’s in store for the future of the fragrance line.

What was the inspiration behind Twenty Four Seven, compared to Twin Flame?
“Twin flame is a statement, it’s not for everyone and wasn’t designed to be, it’s the compliment getter and attention grabber – but it might be too punchy for some.
Twenty Four Seven was named after how it should be worn, it’s fresh, light and inoffensive – it gives clean girl energy – effortless chic and perfect for everyday wear. It’s quickly become a cult favourite.”

For the fragrance newbies, what makes By Yuliya a fine fragrance brand?
“Technically speaking it is the quality of the fragrance oil, and concentration in which it is dosed in the fragrance and the quality of the base – we use a high quality, clean, sugar cane derived alcohol which allows the scent profile to develop beautifully without the smell of alcohol and chemicals.”
We’d love to know any sneak peeks for the future. What are you looking forward to for By Yuliya?
“We are deep in the works to expand the product range – in both products and fragrances! We are SO excited to share this with our community very soon.”
Your latest launch of Fragrance balms feature a refillable compact- was there any inspiration there, and do you have any tips to apply a fragrance balm for those new to them?
“Apply to your pulse points for a light, but lasting scent, or as a base before you layer on our perfume mists to maximise their longevity.
I personally love the product development part of the business. Specifically creating an Australian-made chic and innovative product that no one is creating.”
