Quick Summary

The Female Startup Club podcast is back with FSC 2.0. Host Doone Roisin is widening the show’s focus beyond business to cover more of the life around the work. Listeners can also join a free private group chat offering behind-the-scenes access, with in-person events coming soon.

Female Startup Club has never tried to blend in. You’ve probably spotted them on your social feed thanks to the unapologetically pink branding and shiny new studio with neon curtains.

As one of the few women-first spaces in a podcast niche still dominated by men, in late 2025 Doone Roisin, host of FSC, expanded beyond the podcast and newsletter with a private network for women in business to more personally serve the 160,000 ambitious professionals that make up the community.

Now, the podcast is back from a short hiatus with a wider mix of guests and topics. Recent episodes cover mental health and fair pay, along with what Doone calls “busy brains”.

Guests include Olympic gold medallist Bronte Campbell and finance creator Queenie Tan. The new run also features Centennial World founder Lauren Meisner, as well as Jemma Sbeg, host of The Psychology of Your 20s, that now streams on Netflix.

In her latest solo episode, Doone announced the move to FSC 2.0. Here’s what it looks like so far.

FSC 2.0: The New Era of Female Startup Club

Seven years in, Doone is widening the brief with FSC 2.0.

In her words, it is becoming “the show for modern women”, with more interest in health and wealth, as well as what guests have learned along the way.

That wider focus explains why Olympians and health professionals are now appearing alongside founders.

The relaunch also gives listeners more ways to take part. FSC is launching a free private group chat, with in-person events planned for later.

Joining the group chat gets you a member card and BTS access to guest questions.

Members receive a digital card and behind-the-scenes access, including opportunities to weigh in on the show.

Doone is also asking longtime listeners, or “FSC fangirls”, to help choose the cities events are hosted in and shape future topics.

New Episodes To Save to Your Playlist This Week

The newest episodes bring in guests from all across the “women doing amazing things” spectrum, with the usual business tie-in.

On Discipline, Pressure, and Life After the Podium: Bronte Campbell on 4 Olympics and 3 Gold Medals

Bronte Campbell on Female Startup Club.

There’s no faster way to test whether elite-sport discipline really transfers to business than to ask someone who has done both.

Bronte Campbell, a four-time Olympian with three gold medals across four games from London 2012 to Paris 2024, walks through what it actually took to reach the top, including the financial realities of being an Olympic athlete.

Campbell has since turned her attention to Earthletica, the sustainable activewear label she co-founded.

In April, the company raised more than $1.13 million from 429 investors through an equity crowdfunding campaign on Birchal.

The episode deep dives into areas you might not expect, including mental wellness and injury recovery.

On Success, Loneliness, and Talking About Money: Why Money Makes Friendships Weird, With Jemma Sbeg

Jemma Sbeg on Female Startup Club.

Jemma Sbeg, host of The Psychology of Your 20s and author of Person in Progress, is candid about what fast growth can do to your friendships and sense of self. Her podcast has surpassed 100 million downloads and now streams on Netflix.

Change happens quickly (especially in your 20s), and success can shift even the healthiest relationship dynamics, especially when money is involved.

Jemma is candid about where she is at, including making the best of her time living abroad, reflecting that it’s taking time to feel settled.

It’s a conversation we’d recommend for anyone whose work has carried them somewhere their friends can’t quite follow, or anyone going through a major shift in life, including living in another country.

On Money, Content, and Sustainable Growth: From $400 a Week to a $1M Net Worth With Queenie Tan

Queenie Tan on Female Startup Club.

If finance talk has always filled you with dread, it’s time to save this episode to your list.

Finance creator Queenie Tan walks through how she went from earning $400 a week as a young adult to a seven-figure net worth through fairly ordinary decisions repeated over time.

Beyond reflecting on the attitude around money she grew up with, Queenie also shares how she automated her savings and built multiple income streams, living below her means without treating it as punishment.

Money is at the core of Queenie’s work. She is the author of The Fun Finance Formula and co-founder of Billroo, a consumer-friendly budgeting app built without the usual jargon.

She also talks candidly about buying property in Australia today, which is a welcome topic compared to the usual US-centred advice that falls flat for most Aussies.

On Busy Brains and ADHD: A Peep Into Doone’s Brain – “I Made My Husband a Brain Manual”

Doone Roisin, host and founder of Female Startup Club.

In a more personal episode, Doone and her husband walk through what she calls her “Brain Operating Manual”, a framework she developed after her ADHD diagnosis.

The conversation moves through executive function and task switching, along with the mental fatigue that comes with running constant background tabs in your head.

You don’t need an ADHD diagnosis to get something from it. Anyone who finds switching between tasks draining, or who tends to problem-solve by sheer mental force until they’re exhausted, will likely recognise themselves in the chat.

On the Creator Economy and Backing Yourself: How To Get Paid as a Creator, With Lauren Meisner of Centennial World

Lauren Meisner of Centennial World on Female Startup Club.

Centennial World founder Lauren Meisner describes the creator economy as still feeling like the “Wild West”, and this episode is a confronting look at the pricing inconsistencies.

Meisner covers the reality of brand deals and payment terms, and what both mean for a creator’s cash flow.

Creators still routinely undercharge, often because no one tells them what their work is worth.

She shares expensive lessons she’s learned the hard way, as well as how she built her media empire, adapting to the quickly shifting landscape of online spaces.
