I Tried The “Health Retreat Tinted Glow Serum” - Here Are my Honest Thoughts

As the seasons shift and the sun's warmth starts ghosting us, keeping that summer glow can be a bit of a challenge for a pale girlie like me.

I’m not one to sunbake (a very serious SPF advocate over here) so to begin with I’m not trying to prolong a gorgeous, summer tan alive into the winter.

IKYK it’s so millennial of me to love the “healthy” look with a dewy finish, who wants to look pale? (Nothing wrong with that by the way.)

Enter the Health Retreat All-in-One Tinted Glow Serum SPF15+ by Hotel of Beauty.

Like most women my age, this little beauty gem was found and purchased on Instagram while scrolling for educational content aka memes.

Who is Hotel of Beauty?

Ebony Let founded Hotel of Beauty back in 2022, while working full-time as a model and constantly flying interstate, she got fed up with lugging around a heavy makeup bag and dealing with a long-winded beauty routine.

So, she decided to create her own beauty brand that simplifies self-care for beauties on the go.

Hotel of Beauty products are designed to be easy, breezy, and effortless—like a holiday in a bottle. Plus, they're vegan and cruelty-free.

My Thoughts

I purchased the serum in the shade Day 2.

At first, I thought it might be too dark for my skin tone, but it turned out to be a perfect match.

I used my hands to apply, just like you would any other serum.

My skin is dry and sensitive, and this serum delivers instant hydration and a beautiful glow. It’s perfect for those who love a dewy, glowy look.

No stinging, no itchiness—just supple, bouncy skin. It’s fragrance-free, essential oil-free, and gentle enough for sensitive skin.

I also loved the subtle bronzy, sun-kissed finish.

With SPF 15+ for added protection, it’s a great boost, but be sure to apply a higher SPF before or after for adequate sun protection.

How to Check In/Use

Shake it up.

Dispense straight onto skin or hand, applying 3 drops across forehead, cheeks and down the neck.

Apply like a serum- with hands or ‘on the go’ travel brush- swiping over complexion for a seamless second skin finish.

Done!

Now off you go & glow on the go to your meeting, school pick up, pilates or date night! nothing else necessary but everything else welcome on top - (blush, bronzer, concealer).

Final Thoughts

As a pale skin girlie I am not easily impressed with tinted serums, most come off either too orange or muddy, but Hotel of Beauty understood the assignment.

The packaging, the ingredients and the finished look got me hooked!

It's been a staple in my morning routine from day one.

Note: Always perform a patch test before introducing new products into your beauty routine to ensure compatibility with your skin.
