My Honest Review of Naked Sunday’s New BeautyScreen Peptide Foundation Tint SPF50

As a dark-skinned beauty lover, I have found myself becoming more and more cynical of tinted sunscreen releases, let alone mineral spf tints.

My initial excitement usually wanes once I see the shade range [or lack thereof].

The Naked Sundays BeautyScreen SPF50 Peptide Foundation Tint (bet you can’t say that 5 times really fast) not only positively surprised me, but it’s also made me a believer.

The brand has been releasing banger after banger and revolutionising ‘sunscreen makeup’ as we know it and this new launch might be their best one yet.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Aussie formulations are leading the sunscreen game.

Tinted sunscreens are not a new concept, but you haven’t seen them done like this.

BeautyScreen is the first product of its kind where you are not only encouraged to wear the ¼ teaspoon required for sun protection, you can do it without looking ‘cakey’.

Not only that, this cutting-edge formula also comes in 13 flexible shades.

I wear shade 9 *and for reference, I wear Fenty 445

I wear shade 9 and when I say the blend is perfect, I’m not exaggerating.

This one-of-a-kind product has a watery/ fluid texture which enables you to sheer it out or build it up so you can customise your coverage.

You can apply it with your fingers or with their BFF brush.

Unlike their Cabana Glow Mineral Glow Serum Drops, BeautyScreen doesn’t contain mica, so the resulting finish is more skin-like than luminous [also good news for any of us with textural sensitivities].

Not only that, it’s fragrance free and cruelty free. Like, what more could you want?

Because I’m a woman in STEM, I subjected the product to a 13-hour wear test with no primer, just my usual morning skincare and no setting powder either.

I was planning on spending the whole day at home and wanted to see how the product would wear and if it would oil up or possibly even separate.

Dearest gentle reader, it did none of that.

Not only did it not separate, but I also somehow didn’t develop KFC bucket levels of oil on my forehead either. I don’t know about you but that sounds like wizardry to me.

In addition to making your skin look naturally flawless and protecting you from the sun, the tint contains a plethora of ingredients that will help with the overall health of your skin.

It’s infused with collagen boosting peptides, soothing bisabolol and allantoin, skin barrier supporting vegan squalane, intensely hydrating polyglutamic acid and niacinamide, an absolute powerhouse of an ingredient that amongst other things helps to support the overall health of your skin barrier.

This woman-owned brand that used to be the ‘if you know, you know’ secret for Aussie beauty lovers is taking over the world and I’m so happy to see it!

You can pick up your own 30mL tube directly from their site for $54.95 right now, and it’ll be coming to Mecca and Ulta.com in September.
