In case you are unfamiliar, Rhode Skin was founded by Hailey Bieber in 2022 and was acquired by E.l.f. cosmetics in July 2025 for a deal worth $1B. Yep, billion with a B.
It started out purely as a skincare brand, launching originally with three core products and the tagline ‘one of everything really good’.
Since then, it has only gone from strength to strength, effortlessly blending the cool girl energy of Hailey with products that are genuinely beloved.
The brand now has 13 products, an absolutely cult following, and is well on the way to global domination.
Rhode Australia Launch Details – Where To Buy And What MECCA Stocks
Rhode will be available to shop from their own website in AUD and shipping directly from Thursday February 12th 6am AEDT (live now!).
It will also be available to shop online with Mecca at the same time (Feb 12th, 6am AEDT) and in store at their Bourke Street and George Street locations, which will be open early from 8am.

My tip? If you’re looking at purchasing a number of products, the Rhode website does offer value sets that save you money, as well as a few items that don’t look to be available yet on Mecca.
This includes accessories like the phone lip case, bubble bag, and the scented versions of the lip tints.
If you only want to try one or two items, or would like it to arrive faster then I think Mecca or trying in store will be your best bet.

My Top Rhode Recommendation – Pocket Blush Review

If I could only recommend one single thing to try, it would be the Pocket Blush. As someone who absolutely loves blush and especially cream formulas, this one is god tier.
For me, it does have a few points of difference and currently stands head and shoulders above anything else in that category.
I said what I said.
There will be 10 shades available at Mecca and the full 11 on the Rhode site, so there’s plenty of options to find one that suits you.
Best Rhode Pocket Blush Shades To Try
It is a cream blush in a chubby stick format and when I say this glides on the skin, it truly does.
Every shade I’ve tried is pigmented but still easy to blend and leaves a glowy, soft finish on the cheeks. It is long wearing even on my dry skin and exceptionally easy to blend.
Rhode Pocket Blush in “Freckle”, $43.00
Freckle is that girl for me. It is a neutral peach that is ultra flattering and if you’re a fair tone like me it adds some colour without pulling too warm. This is my personal perfect blush shade.
Rhode Pocket Blush in “Toasted Teddy”, $43.00
Toasted Teddy is popular for a reason. It has a very bronze tone to it that helps it straddle that line between bronzer and blush (blonzer, if you will).
This is one I would recommend swatching first if you’re more fair like me – whilst the formula is easy to blend it is a deeper shade that might not quite look the way you want if you’re too naturally cool toned.

Sprinkle is just about as cute as you can get. It’s a warmer pink with a little bit of pearl just to give it something more. Originally very limited edition it was brought back as a permanent shade because the people loved it that much.

Top Rhode Products Worth Buying (Including My Honest Skincare Picks)
If you’re wanting to try the brand but don’t really feel a pull to anything specific, any one of these is going to make you feel like a Rhode girlie and like you’re part of the moment.
Rhode Peptide Lip Treatments, $35.00
These are a very nice lip treatment that to me feels a bit lighter in texture compared to the really buttery balms we’ve gotten used to recently.
The feel on the lips is comfortable, does feel hydrating and isn’t too sticky.
There’s a few options for scents and they’re all really nice on the nose, not too heavy or sickly sweet. If you’re super sensitive there is also a no fragrance option that will still give that high shine finish.

Rhode Glazing Mist Hydrating Face Spray, $52.00
Is a mist ever an essential? If you live somewhere that gets very hot, very humid or are prone to itchy skin then I think they are.
I am someone who experiences all three, so a mist is something I always have on hand and this is a very nice one.
Great ingredients that provide comfort but I obviously wouldn’t rely on them the same way I use a serum.
A point of difference here for me from some other popular mists is that it is fragrance and essential oil free – it truly surprises me how many mists continue to be marketed as calming but then smell so strong.
The price is a little steep in my opinion for something that isn’t a super important skincare step, so that’s why it’s in this category.
Rhode Peptide Lip Tints Tinted Lip Layer in “Toast”, $35.00
These are a slightly different formula to the lip treatments, still quite hydrating and provide a good level of tint.
It looks like Mecca is getting all the core shades but not the scented versions at this time – fun fact, most of the tints don’t have any scent.
I think people forget that when these were released, we didn’t actually have as many lip treatment or balm options as we do now, so at the time the shades felt less tired or boring.
One of my favourite creators to follow is Rudi Berry, who recently posted this video swatching a bunch of popular formulas, talking about the shades and honestly my thoughts are the same.
Top shade pick: I’m calling it now that Toast will be the stand out fave because it is a rosy taupe that is highly versatile.
My Viral Rhode Glazing Milk Review – Is It Worth Buying?
This is a really good product.
Again, it is also one that now feels like it sits in a crowded product category but at the time of release did feel like it was in its own space.
I cannot fault the ingredients, the texture or how this sinks into the skin. It is calming, it plays well with other product textures and leaves the skin looking dewy and glazed.
Spoiler alert: my next regular edition of the journal will actually have a roundup of all the popular skin milks or milky toners that get compared to Rhode or vice versa.
That’s going to go into full detail but in the meantime if you’re on the fence, I would say you are unlikely to regret this purchase.
What About The Rhode Lip Shapes? My Review And What To Expect
If you want a lip that doesn’t move for 12 hours, buy something else.
When this launched, it got some criticism for not being as long-wearing as other popular lip liner formulas and that’s because it’s not really designed to be.
It is described as a combination of ‘soft-focus colour and high-performance skincare’ that gives a contoured but seamless effect.
You know that Nina Park style blurred lip that’s very popular at the moment? This is perfect to get that effect.
It comes in a number of shades, I enjoy it as a super easy way to give some definition and colour and would happily buy more.
If you want something that gives a crisper line and will survive a whole night of eating and drinking, I’d reach for something like the Make Up For Ever Artist Colour Pencils that even HB herself favours.
Top shade pick: Lunge is the shade I have, it’s a perfect rosy beige that hits the spot but if you’re after something more pink you should try Press, a warm pinky mauve.
Rhode Products That Are Nice, But Not Essential
Of everything I’ve tried from the brand, these are the ones that are fine but not revolutionary for me.
If you picked them up, I would say you wouldn’t regret the purchase, but you’d probably use it and then not repurchase.
Rhode Peptide Glazing Fluid Review For Hydration And Glow
It’s a great formula and the texture is really nice, but this was a little middle of the road for me.
The ingredient list is great, it does deliver on hydration and that glazed finish but I found myself reaching for either a hydrating serum or dewy primer instead.
Applying it over the top of a sunscreen in my routine doesn’t make much sense to get the skincare benefits but applying it underneath meant the look of my skin was mostly determined by that instead.

You could absolutely use it as just a nice hydrating serum in the evening and enjoy that glazed finish for yourself, but if we’re talking about that purpose then I would reach for a formula more suited to my overall skincare goals.
Rhode Barrier Restore Cream Review – Moisturiser Breakdown
Another formula that is great and quite comforting, really good ingredients and lovely to use.
I just think that there are some really great other options that fit within this same category that come at a better price point.
I’m thinking the SOS Cream from Tower28, Face Flood from Boring Without You or the Avene Cicalfate Skin Cream.
It’s a nice moisturiser that does the job, so why not save yourself $20 with a similar option.
Final Thoughts – Is Rhode Worth The Hype In Australia?
I think what you might enjoy from the brand really depends on your personal skincare and makeup preferences, which is true of any brand but especially good to think about with a brand as hyped as this.
If you like matte makeup and don’t enjoy a dewy style finish, the blush formula probably isn’t for you.
If you want really active skincare or formulas targeting concerns like acne, then replacing your whole routine with Rhode skincare probably isn’t going to work.

I have skin that tends to be dry and sensitive, so I am absolutely the target audience for their skincare, that promises barrier support and a dewy finish.
Makeup is easy to do with a glowy, soft finish – this makes their creamy makeup formulas in approachable shades perfect for me.
What I will say is that every single product I have tried has done what it says on the label and that is why I have a lot of time and energy for Rhode.
Yes, they’re cool and the marketing is pure genius but my loyalty really comes from them being a brand that delivers. That is what keeps me coming back and excited for more.
