My Steps to Wear Red Lipstick Without Any Feathering or Blur at Age 50

Do you know this feeling? You’re on your way to lunch, check your look in the mirror and see your red lipstick bleeding into your fine lines.

Not the look you were going for, right? It can be quite aging for us mature women. But like me, you’re probably not ready to give up the red lip look.

These tips have made all the difference for me and yes it might take a couple of extra minutes but it’s worth it.

I wore this red lip for a few hours around the house and it looked just as good as when I first applied it.

Here’s The Steps:

  1. Use a hydrating lip conditioner- When you apply your lip hydrating product at the start, make sure you remove the excess so it’s not too oily. You want hydrated but matte.

  2. Prep The Base - Dab your lips with whatever foundation or concealer is left on your brush.

  3. Apply a lip liner with short strokes- Take your time!

  4. Apply your red lipstick generously- but then blot off the excess.

  5. Optional- Clean up the lip line with your concealer to get it extra defined and crisp.
