Alpha-H has made a huge comeback over the past two years, and in the last year has become unmissable, in my humble opinion.

It had previously (to me) felt like a brand that was geared towards aged skin- or at the least- not sensitive or acne prone skin.

Apprehensive at best, it was through seeing Beauty Bloggers and Journalists I adore trial and rave about the brand that helped me dip my toes in- and I’m so glad I did.

I now use a product from the Alpha-H range daily.

Currently, the Gentle Cleanser and Cleansing Balm are both go-tos.

It’s a big deal for my sensitive acne prone skin, and that’s why the brand has made so many features on my grid.

Let’s walk through what I’ve tried and what’s actually worth your hard earned coin.

Liquid Gold

Hands down. It’s not a competition, you need this. At the least, you need to try it (and you can, for under $20!).

The three weeks I spent using Alpha-H's Liquid Gold Trial Kit were a revelation for my skin.

This AHA exfoliating treatment did wonders, especially on my cheeks—its ability to melt away texture was astounding.

Not only did it brighten my overall complexion, but it also tackled stubborn pigmented scarring, notably improving their appearance.

What impressed me most was its effect on my nose pores—they were visibly less congested and lacked their usual discoloration.

I did not know my sensitive acne prone skin could handle consistent AHA use and was honestly previously terrified, as I’ve damaged my moisture barrier at the hands of clunky Glycolic Acid products many times before.

This fear was settled with the education around the product and the info provided from the handy pamphlet.

The product is balanced at a Ph level that’s strong on the skin, but also means you can buffer and tailor use to your own skins need.

Liquid Gold is clinically proven to enhance skin tone, luminosity, texture, and elasticity. The ingredient line up includes 5% Glycolic Acid, Silk Proteins, and Liquorice Root Extract.

#LiquidGoldChallenge results (21 days)

I personally did the #liquidgoldchallenge , which is a 21 day trial of Liquid Gold, for under $20.

The trial kit, which is generously soaked pads made application a breeze, covering not just my face but also extending to other areas like my neck, chest, elbows and heels, making it incredibly cost-effective.

Its straightforward instructions made it user-friendly for skincare novices, and at a price of $18.95 for three weeks' use, it's an absolute steal for a glycolic acid product of this quality.

Melting Moment Cleansing Balm

The Melting Moment Cleansing Balm provided a sensory experience like no other in my skincare routine.

The Aussie Wild Orange Leaf creates a calming and refreshing cloud while starting off your skincare routine on a high note.

I love that it melts down the most stubborn makeup, emulsifies well, and better yet is an absolute crowd pleaser.

It famously simultaneously nourishing and softens the skin while melting away the days grime.

The formulation features Australian Wild Orange Leaf, Grapeseed Oil, Australian Sandalwood Seed Oil, and Bisabolol, prioritises maintaining the skin’s delicate pH balance without stripping it.

The Alpha-H Golden Haze Oil was a luxurious addition to my skincare routine. Though not a mandatory step, its use brought a deep comfort to my skin, particularly for the times my skin has been uncomfortable and tight.

This oil, with its nostalgic spa-like scent, feels indulgent and comforting, especially with just a couple of drops for my acne-prone skin.

Rich in texture, it enveloped the skin, providing a sense of luxury- It’s also much more “waxy” than other oils I’ve used, but that’s apart of it’s brilliance, to fortify the skin's barrier whilst ensuring hydration and reducing trans-epidermal water loss.

Its hero ingredients—Camellia Seed Oil, Watermelon Seed Oil, Australian Jojoba Oil, Vegan Squalane, and Rosehip Oil.

Using the Alpha-H's Balancing Cleanser was a true relaxation, especially during times when my skin was acting out.

Cream cleansers, like this one, are a soothing start to the day or a calming way to wind down at night (but only opt for it at night time if your skin is being super fussy, or you’re intensely dry).

While it might require a double cleanse to thoroughly remove daily grime, it's remarkably effective against light makeup.

During my allergy flare-up, this cleanser worked wonders, thanks to the soothing touch of Aloe, providing much-needed relief to my stressed skin.

Its creamy, lotion-like texture feels luxurious and doesn't foam, making it ideal for gentle morning cleansing or when my skin needs extra care.

Enriched with Aloe Vera and Vitamin E, this creamy, non-foaming cleanser delivers a subtle, fresh scent.

The inclusion of Aloe Vera provides a calming effect, while Vitamin E contributes to combating dryness, dehydration, redness, and skin stress, making it a versatile solution for various skin concerns.

Something For Everyone

Getting to regularly use the Alpha-H brand the past year has made me realise that there’s something for all skin types there, and has alerted me to the intense high quality that they provide!

I’ve enjoyed the customer education greatly as a skincare nerd, and even moreso appreciate the brands attention to detail for their releases, bundles and trial kits, that offer the customer the best chance at making a educated purchasing decision.
