Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Moisture Cream Refillable, $57
Shop: Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Moisture Cream Refillable, $57
The Laneige Water Bank Cream is gorgeous.
I've been on it since early in my skincare journey, and it’s looped back into my routine recently. It was love all over again.
There are three versions of this cream:
A gel moisturiser for combination oily skin, which is like lightweight hydration and balance.
The cream moisturiser, which is my personal pick, is for normal and dry skin. But if you're acne-prone or even a bit oily and prefer more lush cream textures, I think you'll really love this.
And for very dry and sensitive skin, there's the intensive moisturiser, which is about deep replenishment and barrier repair.
Shop: Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Moisture Cream Refillable, $57
Generally, I do feel guilty recommending a moisturiser that isn’t cheap, but I do think that this product punches above its weight because of its ability to prime the skin and the infusion of Laneige’s Blue Hyaluronic Acid, which is all about deep plumping.
Now with the refillable pods being available for $48, I feel a little bit less guilty recommending it.
If your skin’s at a really happy place and you’re just wanting elevated basics, I absolutely think this moisturiser is a great pick for the Sephora sale.
Biossance 100% Squalane Oil, $59
Shop: Biossance 100% Squalane Oil, $59
The Biossance 100% Squalane Oil will last ages.
It’s gorgeous on the body, it’s lovely in the hair, and if you’re acne-prone, it’s lovely on the face.
It is a thinner oil—not plush by any means—but you will find yourself using it regularly thanks to the pump bottle, and it’s been really nice lately for hair oiling.
Paula's Choice Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer, $66
Shop: Paula's Choice Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturizer, $66
The Paula’s Choice Pro-Collagen Peptide Plumping Moisturiser is new to me.
It has three peptides, which is exciting.
Peptides have burst out onto the skincare scene as the new must-have skincare ingredient, and lots are rushing to have it as an add in to their staple skincare.
Some results with peptides are up in the air, but for this pick, there are independent clinical studies which show that 90% saw instant plumping and found 24-hour hydration when using the product.
The tint of pink? That’s because there’s vitamin B12 in the formula, the same reason why The Ordinary’s famous Soothing Barrier Cream is pink.
Alpha-H Liquid Gold Exfoliating Treatment with 5% Glycolic Acid, $77
Shop: Alpha-H Liquid Gold Exfoliating Treatment with 5% Glycolic Acid, $77
Alpha-H’s Liquid Gold Exfoliating Treatment with 5% Glycolic Acid is stunning.
I think everyone should have a bottle of this, and I think a sale is a great time to pick it up.
This is a product that will give you amazing before and after results, show some really quick and long-term results.
It’s a stronger, more advanced product, but when used correctly, does wonders.
The Ordinary Niacinamide 5% Face And Body Emulsion, $22
Shop: The Ordinary Niacinamide 5% Face And Body Emulsion, $22
The Ordinary’s Niacinamide 5% Face and Body Emulsion is a staple for me, and has lasted months!
Although it’s a face and body serum, iI’ve actually been using it as a face serum and not on the body. The pump bottle is easy to use, so I do end up taking it down on the neck and chest.
It works lovely as a niacinamide serum. It’s at 5%, which is still absolutely efficacious and proven, and the more light emulsion, thin lotion texture that doesn’t dry down weird actually gives a nice lushness to the skin and lays really well with other products.
I’m very happy to say that that is a fantastic product that I think is worth every cent and is very affordable.
FRESH Black Tea Advanced Age Renewal Eye Cream, $118
Next is the Fresh Black Tea Advanced Age Renewal Eye Cream.
I’m not going to, in good faith or good conscience, tell you that you need a $118 eye cream.
What I will say is: if you want a weighty, lush, plush, dreamy eye cream that helps prep your under eyes for makeup, that has great body and it feels a bit extra special, this is one for you.
Shop: FRESH Black Tea Advanced Age Renewal Eye Cream, $118
On a more shallow note, the feeling of the eye cream is lovely.
Fresh Beauty does this luxe packaging perfectly. The weighted glass, the heavy cap—it does elevate one of these extra steps that sometimes I feel like I need to force myself to do.
Airyday Peptide Powerhouse Daily Moisturiser, $49
Shop: Airyday Peptide Powerhouse Daily Moisturiser, $49
Last but not least—not something I’ve personally tried yet—but it absolutely caught my eye because Airy Day is expanding their skincare range and created a Peptide Powerhouse Daily Moisturiser.
Again, you’re hearing this buzzword of peptides, but this product feels like a lighter daytime moisturiser.
The 75ml bottle is a nice amount of product that I like seeing for a moisturiser that you’re going to use daily.
It’s got three peptides alongside bisabolol, glycerin, as well as allantoin.
A well-rounded formula, and the sleek bottle and packaging and price point for a elevated ingredient profile.
So I’d say: don’t sleep on this one if you’re looking for a new moisturiser and you’re wanting to incorporate peptides in your routine.
Final Thoughts
Let me know what you’re going to shop from the Sephora sale—I’d be really interested to hear!
I am putting together an embarrassingly long list of all the makeup products that I’ve absolutely been loving, so stand by for that.
