My own personal page, @minnieisaac_, has a strong theme of makeup, alongside skincare, acne, and Aussie SPFs – which can get pretty specific.

Personally, I never would have been able to transition into full-time content creation without investing in mentorship.

Connect with peers and experts in your field. Share knowledge and tips. Sometimes this is hard to find, but I’ve learned that making the first move often leads to meaningful conversations.

It’s important to respect people’s time and effort, as well as the investment of time and money they’ve already made to know what they know, and be where they are.

As a rule of thumb: give before asking for someone’s time. Be intentional about finding ways you can support people.
