When the cult-favourite brand dropped its debut fragrance line, we were ready to explore.
The Hero of The Range, Rare Beauty’s Rare Eau De Parfum, $124.00
Rare Eau De Parfum is warm and decadent with a gourmand twist, opening with sweet caramel and pistachio, melting into rich vanilla and a kick of spicy ginger.
As it dries down, earthy sandalwood lingers beautifully on the skin.
It also comes in a Travel Spray size, which has thick glass (phew) and a mister, not a roll on (double phew). There’s also the Mini Rare Eau De Parfum Duo which has the Travel Spray, as well as a super cute mini size of the bespoke bottle— the mini bottle has a roller ball.

Rare Fragrance Layering Balms, $32.00 Each
Made to be worn alone or layered with Rare Eau De Parfum to create a unique fragrance blend, all the layering balms complement each and the current hero scent.
The fragrance layering balms are completely non-greasy, and although they do have a silicone-y feel, it’s not in the way that makes your skin crawl.
They’re very comfortable to wear and weightless, which helps you forget you’re wearing them after application.
